Buff Bay Portland, Jamaica

Letter from our Sister Sheila who is a team member of the upcoming mission:

From April 29, 2017 to May 6, 2017 I have the opportunity again to travel with a team from my church, Faith Community Church, to the town of Buff Bay, Portland, Jamaica. Buff Bay is located in the southern part of the country.

We will be ministering with Pastor Vernon Allen of Buff Bay Baptist Church. Pastor Allen pastors six churches in different locations in Portland including Buff Bay Baptist Church which is the main church. These churches are located in the rural less developed areas of Jamaica. Our primary responsibility as a team is providing leadership and discipleship training with young men and women from the six churches. In addition, our team will be speaking at several elementary schools and giving toiletry articles to children, women and men at a local hospital. Pastor Allen’s vision and purpose is to evangelize the areas God has given him to serve as well as equipping many of his parishioners to travel to other countries to share the gospel. Each year our team has ministered with Pastor Allen we have seen many young men and women grow stronger in the Lord. We are committed to partnering with Pastor Allen in his endeavors to equip men and women for ministry.

The total cost of this trip is $781.00. This amount includes airfare, vehicle travel throughout the week and accommodations with meals. In order to make this ministry a reality, I elicit your financial support to help meet this financial amount. All donations can be made to Faith Community Church either through our secure website, or to ATTN: Mission Trip, Faith Community Church, 100 East 30th, Street, Norfolk, Va. 23504
